Energy Resilience Lab: RSE × KPI

Together with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, we are launching the Energy Resilience Lab — a new space that will become part of the university’s Scientific and Educational Center for Energy Decarbonization and the Energy Innovation Hub.

The lab will provide students and engineers with hands-on experience working with mobile cogeneration plants and decentralized energy networks — the very systems that are already delivering backup power to frontline regions. It will also offer access to demo units based on MWM/Caterpillar technologies.

What does the project include?

An educational center offering training on operating mobile CHP units and the principles of backup and green energy systems.
Demonstration stands for practicing real-world scenarios — from connecting a hospital to powering a logistics hub.
Research programs focused on decarbonization and improving energy system resilience.

The Energy Resilience Lab is designed to unite academic knowledge with advanced technical solutions — shaping a new generation of engineers equipped to rebuild and defend Ukraine’s energy independence.
